Hypex Mains Powered NCORE x® upgrade service

Building on the legacy of NCORE® and the original NC***MP modules, and incorporating insights from the Nilai® research, the NCx Mains Powered Family amps have proven performance with innovative enhancements to deliver unparalleled sound quality and efficiency. With improved signal processing, lower distortion, and higher efficiency, these modules represent the next step in high-end Class D amplification.

Here at KJF audio we can take any amp with the NC252P or NC122MP modules in and upgrade them with these new modules using our Hypex NCxMP upgrade service. We charge nothing for labour to do this swap, we take your original board out which we will keep and just charge you for the new mains power NCx board. Once you have ordered you will need to send in the amp you need upgrading.

The NCx***MP, module is a compact power dual-amplifier brick, represents the next generation of Class D amplification, incorporating advanced NCOREx® technology.

Building on the proven performance of NCORE® they offer exceptional audio fidelity and efficiency. At their heart is a dual, self-contained, high- performance NCOREx® Class D amplifier. NCOREx® is a continuation of the NCORE® lineage, enhanced by Nilai research that has significantly improved the loop filter. This enhancement enables a >75dB loop gain across the entire audio band, providing ultra-low harmonic distortion, intermodulation distortion and negligible output impedance. The result is an amplifier that delivers transparent and dynamic audio with >60dB error correction throughout the audio spectrum, dramatically reducing distortion from the power stage and output filter.

The control mechanism is based on an upgraded phase-shift-controlled, self-oscillating loop, ensuring precise and clear audio reproduction. Combined with a flat frequency response regardless of load impedance and minimal electromagnetic interference (EMI), the NCx***MP guarantee pristine sound quality.

The power supply architecture of the NCx***MP has also been refined, featuring a highly-efficient switch mode power supply (SMPS) with synchronous rectification on the main output rails. The integrated low-power standby supply complies with 2013 ERP Lot 6 0.5W requirements, optimising energy efficiency. An automatic input voltage doubler enhances universal mains compatibility, making the NCX***MP suitable for diverse environments and applications.

These modules are a plug in replacement for the original modules so if you send your amp to us for upgrade we can turn it round pretty quickly.

We have built loads of amps over the years in both our multichannel MA-01 and dual/mono SA-01 amplifiers. These can be upgrade along with and of the Hypex Fusion Plate amplifiers.
