Description
These Threaded inserts are much superior to the ‘T’nut type insert usually used in DIY speaker builds and speaker kits, they have a three fold advantage, firstly they screw into the hole cutting their own threads as they go, that means that they cannot be pushed out like the cheaper ‘T’nut. Secondly they are also headless so can be driven in to be flush with or lower than the surface, this means they can be put in after you have glued your speaker together, this is a huge advantage if you’ve forgotten to put them in earlier. Thirdly, without the relatively large wings of the ‘T’nut they don’t need any more room in your design than is afforded by the hole size into which you are driving them.
