Overview
The WEET WME premium music cap – axial metallized polypropylene film capacitor is made of vacuum aluminum plated polypropylene film as the combination of dielectric and electrode. The electrode is led out by tinned copper wire and filled with 94V-0 epoxy resin. Capacitance range from 0.1uF~100uF, rated voltage 400VDC
The WEET WME MKP audiophile metallized polypropylene capacitors should be your standard choice for all of your loudspeaker projects! This brand offers great value for money, the WME range are broadly equivalent to other popular MKP caps like the Jantzen Z standard and Mundorf Classic. We were amazed when we tested them in house just how closely toleranced they were. These caps are rated for +-5% of target value, however the 10 caps we were sent for testing straight from the production line had a maximum deviation of 3%. You can be sure that your speaker projects will have very little deviation between stereo pairs with this sort of tolerance. We also measured the average ESR, damping factor, Q and delta (loss angle) of capacitors in a 4.7uF value, at 1KHz as follows:

These are very good values, and we were particularly impressed with the close tolerances and excellent consistency of the components.
The WME, is very compact, with an attractive white tape wrap. Performance and character are subjectively clean and neutral with excellent transient performance through the crossover range where the capacitor has its greatest influence on the sound. Most likely this is due to the extremely low ESR and excellent damping factor. Thanks to the good basic design and excellent manufacturing consistency, the WME does not cause any significant colouration, unlike some poorly made capacitors where this can be an issue. It is ideally suited to midrange and high frequency crossover networks alike, and for the shunt elements in the networks of pricier loudspeakers. These can also be an excellent choice for feedback, bypass, coupling and decoupling and output capacitors for amplifiers, pre amps, DACs and other audio equipment, especially when an uncoloured sound is preferred.
